Change of the Mass time for First Saturdays

by damian

Change of Mass Times:

Please note that from February 3rd Mass in English on this and subsequent first Saturdays will be at 11am followed by the First Saturday devotions.

Our Lady said on July 13, 1917: ”God wishes to establish in the world devotion to Her Immaculate Heart and that She would come to ask for the communion of reparation on the first Saturdays….”

What do you have to do?

The devotion of First Saturdays, as requested by Our Lady of Fatima, carries with it the assurance of salvation. However, to derive profit from such a great promise of Our Lady, the devotion must be properly understood and duly performed. The requirements as stipulated by Our Lady are as follows:

five decades of the rosary,

meditation on one or more of the mysteries of the rosary for fifteen minutes, to do all these things in the spirit of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

to observe all these practices on the first Saturday of five consecutive months.

When Lucia asked why do we need to celebrate the five first Saturdays?

Our Lord answered:

My daughter, the motive is simple, there are five kinds of offences and blasphemies uttered against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

1. blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception;

2. blasphemies against her virginity;

3. blasphemies against her Divine Maternity;

4. blasphemies of those who openly seek to foster in the hearts of children indifference or even hatred for this Immaculate Mother;

5. offences of those who directly outrage her in her holy images.

Notices for the 22nd of October 2017

Catholic Mission Sunday

This year, Catholic Mission’s World Mission Appeal is inspired by Pope Francis’ World Mission Message, which reminds us all that… mission is at the heart of our faith.

In this appeal, we invite you to reach out through financial gifts and prayers to support the work of Sister Mary Hoaian and the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart, located in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The Sisters work tirelessly to combat malnutrition, as well as providing clean drinking water and accessible health and education services for the forgotten farming families in the nation’s remote coastal communities.

October - Month of the Rosary

Prayer to the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary

Queen of the most holy Rosary, in these times of such brazen impiety, manifest your power with the signs of your ancient victories, and from your throne, where you dispense pardon and graces, mercifully regard the Church of your Son, His Vicar on earth, and every order of clergy and laity, who are sore oppressed in the mighty conflict. You, who are the powerful vanquisher of all heresies, hasten the hour of mercy, even though the hour of God's justice is every day provoked by the countless sins of men. For me who am the least of men, kneeling before you in supplication, obtain the grace I need to live righteously upon earth and to reign among the just in heaven, and while in company with all faithful Christians throughout the world, I salute you and acclaim you as Queen of the most holy Rosary.

Queen of the most holy Rosary, pray for us!

Month of Prayer and Fasting for Marriage and Families

The Month of Prayer and Fasting is intended to be held in parishes across Australia during October 2017. Parishes are encouraged to celebrate Mass, pray the Rosary and undertake Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during this time with the special intention of marriages and families in mind.

Today in our Shrine we're celebrating the double Feast Day. Solemnity of Our Lady, Help of Christians and Solemnity of Anniversary of the Dedication of our Shrine Church.
During Mass we lit 12 candles on the walls of the church. The candles symbolise the 12 Apostles as they are the pillars of our faith.
We prayed for all the people of good will, who helped us to build the Shrine Church.

God bless you all and may Our Lady, Help of Christians be very gracious to you today and always.

The 13th May 2017 - the 100th Anniversary of the First Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. Big thanks to everyone. It was quite a day. We have distributed 6000 Holy Communions which means we could host around 7000 pilgrims. WOW. We had pilgrims from near (from Southern Highlands) but also from very far (Geraldton, WA). May God bless you always.
Thank you Holy Father Francis for giving us the new Saints - Jacinta and Francisco. Please enjoy some of the photos from the celebration.
Fr. D.

At Penrose Park in the Southern Highlands of NSW, there is a shrine dedicated to our Lady of Mercy, represented by a replica of the Icon of Our Lady of Jasna Góra, known as the Black Madonna.  The Shrine is run by the Order of St. Paul the First Hermit known as the Pauline Fathers.  The Pauline Fathers have been custodians of the original Icon of the Black Madonna since 1382.
