Fatima Day Celebrations 13th of August

by michael

A wonderful day was had by the 700 or so pilgrims who attended today's Fatima Day celebrations, the weather was beautiful yet somewhat windy, the prayerful atmosphere added to the joy of the day. The day was capped off by a short talk by one of the Pauline Seminarians, Br Joseph Mary Buckley, about Our Lady's priviliges, and then individual blessings by the fathers present.

Next Fatima Day will fall on Sunday, 13th September, all are welcome to attend this prayerful occasion.

Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy, commonly known as Penrose Park (located in the Southern Highlands, NSW) is a renowned place of veneration of the replica of the Icon of Our Lady of Jasna Góra, known as the Black Madonna.  The Shrine is ministered by the Order of St. Paul the First Hermit known as the Pauline Fathers, who are the custodians of the original Icon of the Black Madonna for more than 630 years.
