Here are the Announcements from the Bulletin for the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time:
RENEWAL OF RELIGIOUS PROFESSION
Br Augustine will be renewing his Religious vows on Sunday 6th August at the 11am Mass. All are invited to come along, participate and support Br Augustine as he takes another important step in his religious life. Please keep him and others in formation in your prayers. Please continue to pray for vocations to our Religious family.
CHURCH CLEANING
The Shrine Church has many visitors each day and especially during the weekends, holidays and Solemnities. It is not always easy to stay on top of keeping the church clean but it is a necessity as it is a place of pilgrimage and the house of God. Therefore Fr Richard has organised that the Shrine Church will be deep cleaned once a month. There will be notice given and the 11am Mass for that particular day will be celebrated in the Chapel at the Old Monastery. Next Church cleaning: Wednesday 9th August.
WORKING BEE
Thank you to all who turned up and participated in the monthly working bee. Next working bee: Saturday 19th August. For anyone seeking further information or would like to volunteer please speak to Fr Joseph Maria.
OLD MONASTERY
There are 4 rooms available for individuals or couples wishing to come and spend some time at Penrose Park ($30 without linen & $40 with linen). There is also a decent conference room. Fr Richard intends to start monthly morning teas after the 8am Mass at the old monastery starting in September when the weather warms up. If there is anyone interested in helping to organise/coordinate this please speak to Fr Richard.
40th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SHRINE
Next year, We will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the blessing and opening of the Shrine. There will be a calendar of events coming out by the end of August outlining the various celebrations to mark this great milestone.
ANNUAL LEAVE
Fr Richard is taking annual leave from Thursday 20th July to Tuesday 1st August. Any enquires or the need to speak to a Priest please refer to Fr Joseph Maria, Subprior.
