The novena to Divine Mercy, will be celebrated from Good Friday 18th – Divine Mercy Sunday 26th April 2025. If you would like your intentions to be included in our prayers during the novena, forms can be found at the side table in the Shrine Church or you can use one of the options on our website for the Divine Mercy Novena.
Stations of the Cross
For those who would like to pray the Stations of the Cross during this season of Lent, the version used at Penrose Park from the Pauline Prayer Book is now available to all Pilgrims on YouTube.
The Stations of the Cross are prayed at the Shrine every Friday and Saturday during Lent after the 11am Mass. The live reenactment of the Lord’s Passion is on Good Friday the 18th of April at 11am.

Novena to St Joseph
From 10th to the 18th of March the Pauline Fathers offer a Novena to St. Joseph remembering the requested intentions at Mass.
For those wishing to include intentions for the novena (these will be place upon the High Altar), slips can be found at the side table of the Church. Intentions can be left in one of the offering boxes in the Church, handed back to one of the Fathers or Brothers or put into the collection basket. Intentions can also submitted online on the St Joseph Novena page.

November – Month of the Holy Souls
November is traditionally dedicated to the Holy Souls. It is our duty to pray for them especially those who have no one to pray for them. This is our Catholic obligation. During November, Masses will be celebrated for our dearly departed. To have names included please fill out the November Mass forms found on the side table of the Church or found on the Shrine website. Masses for the Holy Souls will be celebrated from the 1st to the 30th November.

Major Work on the Shrine Church
The work on the Shrine Church has started, so pilgrims are requested to be careful around the Church and be respectful of the workers.
The details of what is happening are as follows, as announced in last Sunday’s Bulletin:
Major work on the Shrine Church will commence on Wednesday 14th August. Originally the work was to commence on Wednesday 7th August, Fr Richard was contacted last Monday morning (5th August) that due to delays in previous jobs, Penrose Park will now have work starting a week later. The copper gutters will all be repined and all galvanised down pipes, gutters and flashings (which have rotted through with age) will be replaced. The total cost of the job is $29,000.00. The work will take about 6-8 working days to complete and will be done by a local company, Reliable roofing from Moss Vale.

When the work commences, weekday Mass will be celebrated in the Old monastery. Sunday Masses will be in the Church as usual. Thank you for your understanding and also a huge thank you to those who have already made donations towards the work. Thank you for your generosity.
Announcing the death of Bishop Emeritus Peter Ingham AM
Let us pray for the repose of Bishop Peter’s soul. He was a close friend of the Shrine and a Confrator of the Pauline Order.
Eternal rest grant unto Bishop Peter, O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Blackout
UPDATE: After just over 24 hours power is back.
Dear pilgrims to the Shrine we had a major thunderstorm this afternoon that has taken out power to the Shrine and sounding properties. Endeavour Energy has been and assessed the situation and given the prediction that along with all the other jobs around the area that it could be 12-24 hours before power is restored. Therefore we are altering all pilgrims that there will be inconvenience at the shrine and recommend if you are planing to visit that you postpone the trip. When the situation changes you will be duely alerted. All means of communication are down (no phone and internet). Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. – Fr Richard
