Here is a final selection of photos from our Fatima Day on May 13th.

The next Marian Celebration we will have at the Shrine will be this Saturday 3rd of June, which is the First Saturday of the Month. The program of the day will be as follows:

10 am Devotional Talk (On Our Lady Help of Christians – Partoness of Australia)
10:30 am Meditation before the Blessed Sacrament and Confession
11 am Mass
12-noon Rosary Procession around 5 Altars of the Church

We look forward to seeing everyone again at the Shrine soon.

Here are some photos from the Fatima Day Procession that was held on the 13th of this month. The next Fatima Day is, of course, the 13th of June.

However, much work is needed to be done to continue to be able to develop our Shrine. So Fr Richard and Fr Joseph Maria are looking for volunteers to help with the running and maintenance of the Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy Penrose Park. This includes volunteers to help on days when large crowds are expected, volunteers to help with the cleaning of the church, but especially volunteers to help with the cleaning up and maintenance of the grounds.

We are looking for volunteers that would be interested in helping either on a regular bases or on occasions such as when we organise working bees. We are now looking at starting some regular working bees to tidy up the grounds, especially at the main entrance of the property and around the chapels and Grotto. This is a mammoth task! On The Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, May 13th we celebrated our Monthly Fatima Day. Our main Celebrant for the Mass was the Very Rev Brian Mascord Bishop of Wollongong. Attached are some photos of the Mass.

Next Month on the 13th of June for our Fatima Day Fr. Mark De Battista will be the main celebrant.

On The 13th of May, we celebrated our monthly Fatima Day. This was a particularly solemn celebration since it was also the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima. Over 4000 people attended the 11 am Mass and the 1:30 pm procession.

Fatima Day, May 13th

Join us on May 13th for the solemn celebration of Fatima Day at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy Penrose Park! May 13th is Our Lady of Fatima’s Feast Day, and at the Shrine, we will have our Monthy Fatima Day.

Our Main Celebrant will be the Very Rev. Brian Mascord, Bishop of Wollongong. Pilgrims who come will have the opportunity to go to Confession, attend Mass and pray the Rosary. The complete program of the day is as follows:

10 am Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament & Confessions
10:30 am Rosary
11 am Solemn Mass
12 noon Lunch
1:30 pm Eucharistic Procession to the Gotto while reciting the Rosary.
2 pm Prayers and Devotions at the Gotto, and blessing of pilgrims.

Fatima Day – April 13

We would like to thank Fr. Wojciech Śliwa, who came to be the Main Celebrant for our Fatima Day this April.

Despite the wet weather, we managed to complete our procession to the grotto to give honour to Mary and glory and praise to God.

There are no photos of the procession because Fr Joseph Maria who takes the photos was leading the rosary instead. We would love help with this in the future.

Next week will be our Monthly Fatima Day on Thursday, the 13th of April. Fr Wojciech Sliwa, OSPPE, Parish Preist of Merrylands, will be our Main Celebrant.

The program for the day is as follows:

10 am Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament & Confessions
10:30 am Rosary
11 am Solemn Mass
12 noon Lunch
1:30 pm Procession to the Gotto while reciting the Blessed Sacrament.
2 pm Prayers and Devotions at the Gotto, and blessing of pilgrims.

Fatima Day – 13 March 2023

Today, 13th of March at the Shrine we celebrated its monthly Fatima Day, with Fr. Joseph Maria Buckley being the main celebrant at the 11 am Mass. The weather being rather wet the procession at 1:30 pm went up the hill to the Old Monastery instead of the Grotto. But it was a blessed day giving glory to Christ through Mary.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next 13th.

For Fatima Day this month at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy Penrose Park, the main celebrant will be Father Joseph Maria Buckley OSPPE, the newly appointed Sub-prior of the Monastery and Vice-Rector of the Shrine.

The schedule is as follows:

Confessions: 10 am
Adoration and Rosary: 10am
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass: 11am
Eucharistic Procession to the Grotto: 1:30pm

Today we celebrated our Monthly Fatima Day at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy. The Main Celebrant at the 11 am Mass was Fr. Richard Green the new Prior and Rector of the Shrine. A few photos of the Mass are below.

After lunch at 1:30 pm the Eucharistic Procession was led by Fr. Joseph Maria to the grotto, during which Fr. Richard prayed the devotions.
